Update: Just a fair warning, I am allowing you to draw a background but if you do use a real picture, then you have a greater chance of winning. If you need an image but you don't have it, I suggest checking out Stock Xchange for royalty free images. The account is free and there is NO spam whatsoever. I know. I have had an account there for about five years now and not one spam e-mail from them. Anyway, it is a very good site for finding images you need. And no porn!

Also, again I emphasis the fact I want it to be at a place here on Earth. Our good ol' planet. An existing place.

That's right! My first contest! I wanna see all ya'lls best! Tell your friends! Let's make this work! Any questions, just ask.

Now, here is what I want from ya:

I want you to draw your characters on vacation! That's right! Vacation! And it doesn't have to be a summer vacation either. Draw your characters at a real (Earth, not a made-up world) vacation location as if they had their picture taken at that moment. It can be funny like getting stuck at the airport security or getting a snowball to the face. Or it can be a posed picture like say... next to the Royal Guard at Buckingham Palace. GET CREATIVE PEOPLE!!!

Now, you may use a real photo for the location, and like in the example of the guard you may use a photo of the guard, but the characters must be drawn into the picture. If fan art, draw them, not trace them. You may use references but if I can pick out the exact screenshot it came from, I will be a bit disappointed.

Now understand, I am not looking for the best drawn... I WANT CREATIVITY!

I am giving you two whole months so please, take your time but don't procrastinate. ::stares:: You know who you all are.


Deadline: Aug. 26th, 2008. Send me a note entitled "Contest Submission" and provide your link. I will then add it to the list so everyone else can see them. No limit on number of entries!
Medium: Everything excluding written or photography. Sorry. Drawing contest.
Color: Doesn't have to be but it always makes it look better and like more time was put in.
Other Requirements:
It can be fan art or OCs. I welcome both. Now if it is an OC based on a series, please, no Mary-Sues. You can use one but it won't impress me. Sorry.

NO YAOI/YURI/HENTAI! If for some reason you need to do blood, a little is ok but not excessive and no gore.

First Place:
3 month subscription
A colored drawing, with background, of your choosing and in any style*
Journal feature.

Second Place:
1 month subscription
A colored drawing, without background, consisting of only one character
Journal feature.

Third Place:
A chibi drawing or sketch consisting of one character
Journal feature.

*Depending on the amount of characters, certain art styles of mine may not be available (because of time).
